Reflections from the Vicar
I’ve been here nearly three months now and the time has flown!
First of all, thank you to everyone for making me feel so welcome. I’ve appreciated the time you have all taken to chat with me about your experiences of being at Holy Trinity and the hopes you have for the future.
It’s been a busy three months. The vestry has been cleared, tidied and cleaned, notices of service times are now on the outside notice-boards, the parish rooms were repainted, Wi-Fi has been installed throughout the church, a contactless card-reader is now in place by the door, Holy Trinity now has a Facebook page and the Twitter/X page is back up and running and, of course, this website has been created. Alongside all of this there have been many meetings to solve the challenge with the heating and obviously the day-to-day life of the church with its prayer and worship has continued as usual.
October brings a big personal change for me as I will be getting married. The wedding is in the Yorkshire Dales and we then fly to New Zealand for our honeymoon and a much needed rest. Mark and I appreciate your prayers over the next few weeks.
I’ll be back at the end of October ready to start again.
All good wishes,
Jennie
